whale sharks tour, is the most incredible attraction on Holbox. From June to mid-September whale sharks swim quite close to Isla Holbox. The whale sharks, also known as the domino sharks, arrive in small groups. The Holbox fishermen know where to find them and you can swim near the whale sharks without hurting them or even making them uncomfortable.
